CALYCES — A NEW DIALOGUE AT DEARLAND

Calyces marks the first collaboration between Kendall Buster, Siemon Allen and DearRibane, and the beginning of an expanded curatorial language at DearLand.

Here, sculpture moves beyond the object and enters into dialogue with garmentry, sound, movement and performance. DearRibane’s sculptural garments respond to Buster and Allen’s inhabitable architecture through volume, structure and membrane—allowing the body itself to become a site of artistic inquiry.

This inaugural collaboration introduces garmentry as a new subject within the wider NIROX residency dialogue: not simply as fashion, but as a medium through which sculpture, architecture, material and the body can be reconsidered.

DearLand becomes a space for these disciplines to converge—a living framework for experimentation, collaboration and new forms of artistic practice.

Calyces is the beginning of that unfolding.
